1. Who We Are
OCEAN TEC GmbH (operating Linkworld; "Linkworld", "we", "us") is the controller of your personal data. Our registered address is Waidmannsdorferstrasse 83, 9020 Klagenfurt, Austria (FN628032B, Landesgericht Klagenfurt). You can reach our data protection team at privacy@linkworld.ai.
2. Data We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, company when signing up or contacting us), usage data (pages visited, features used, session length), and technical data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers). We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve the Linkworld OS platform, send product updates and security notices (with your consent), comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud and abuse. Our legal basis is contract performance, legitimate interests, and consent where applicable.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, most data is removed within 30 days. We may retain anonymised analytics data indefinitely and certain records to comply with legal obligations (e.g. invoices for 7 years).
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data. You may also object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@linkworld.ai. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (DSB).
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. With your consent we also use analytics cookies (via a privacy-friendly solution) and preference cookies. You can manage cookie settings in your browser or through our cookie banner.
7. Third-Party Services
We use selected sub-processors including cloud hosting providers (EU-based), payment processors, and analytics tools. All sub-processors are bound by data processing agreements. A full list of sub-processors is available upon request.
8. Facebook & Instagram (Meta Platform) Data
If you connect your Facebook Page or Instagram account, we access — with your explicit OAuth consent — your list of Facebook Pages, the content you ask us to publish, and page/account performance data (such as reach, likes and comments) via Meta's APIs. We use this data solely to publish posts you approve, to run advertising campaigns you configure, and to show you the performance of your own content inside Linkworld. We do not sell this data, do not use it for purposes other than providing the service to you, and do not share it with third parties beyond the sub-processors needed to operate the platform. Access tokens are stored encrypted. You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting Facebook & Instagram in Settings > Integrations, or in your Facebook settings under Business Integrations; see our Data Deletion page (linkworld.ai/de/data-deletion) for how connected data is removed.
9. LinkWorld Browser Extension
If you install the LinkWorld browser extension in Chrome, it connects the LinkWorld desktop client on your computer to the tabs you place in the tab group named "LinkWorld" in your own browser. The extension reads the content of those tabs (page text, page structure and screenshots) only after you have allowed the connection once, and only for tabs inside that group; you can end this at any time by dragging a tab out of the group, closing the group, or disconnecting from the extension icon. The content travels to the desktop client on the same computer over a local connection (127.0.0.1 only) and from there to your LinkWorld workspace, where your AI team uses it for the work you asked for — for example reading your shop's admin, your ad accounts or your Search Console where you are already signed in. Which websites may be opened at all is your decision in LinkWorld (Settings > Your browser), per domain, revocable at any time. The extension stores one value locally: the key of the desktop client you allowed. It does not collect analytics, does not track your browsing outside the LinkWorld tab group, does not sell data, and does not use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions. Page content read this way is processed under the same rules as the rest of your workspace data (sections 3, 4 and 7).
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
